CSA’s Marine Services Business Line provides extensive operational experience conducting multidisciplinary marine surveys in support of marine environmental programs and integrated efforts to collect physical data from the world's marine environments.  CSA provides underwater photography (still and video), side-scan sonar, geophysical subbottom, sediment profiling, and bathymetric, hydrographic, and navigational positioning services.  Remote sensing techniques, including underwater towed photographic systems, are used for habitat and biological community mapping that frequently involves the integration of multiple operational capabilities and data sets.  CSA personnel are experienced in marine survey techniques and equipment operation and maintenance, as well as in data analysis and interpretation.  Remote sensing data sets are geographically represented by utilizing GPS interfaced with specialized navigation and data acquisition software.  The data acquisition and integration system formats various digital data for the generation of high-quality, GIS-compatible, and computer‑aided drafting (CAD) products.  CSA personnel also are proficient in processing digital data to produce mosaic images and maps of geo-referenced features.
