Water Current Study for Marina Expansion Project Featured

CSA International, Inc. (CSA) conducted a water current study in the vicinity of the proposed Viking Marina expansion project.  The survey area was located in the Intracoastal Waterway, west of Peanut Island, West Palm Beach, Florida.  Water current and water level data were collected and correlated with wind speed and direction measurements.  Current speed and direction measurements at multiple levels within the water column and water level measurements were recorded over a 5-week period.  Current data were collected using Nortek Aquadopp profilers.  Deliverables included a report and vertically aligned time series plots depicting current speed and direction, wind speed and direction, and water level.  This project was conducted as a subcontract to Cutcher & Associates, Inc.
