CSA International, Inc. (CSA) has developed Environmental Sensitivity Maps for the coastal habitats along the shoreline of the Gulf of Mexico. These maps identify sensitive habitats along the coastline that could be impacted from a variety of anthropogenic sources, including ship groundings, oil spills, or other chemical contamination.
- Mammal Habitats
- Bird Habitats
- Shoreline Type Structure
- Management Areas
- Fishing Areas
- Nest Areas
- Social Economic
- Restricted and Sensitive Areas
The habitats are included as layers within CSA’s Geographic Information System (GIS) and assist our researchers and scientists with identifying sensitive habitats and assessing risk during incidents.
