Hillsborough County Officially Adopts PDRP
CSA International, Inc., a marine environmental consulting firm, is pleased to announce that the Board of County Commissioners of Hillsborough County, Florida has formally adopted the County-wide Post-Disaster Redevelopment Plan (PDRP) prepared by CSA International, Inc.’s Planning Division. A PDRP identifies policies, operational strategies, and roles and responsibilities for implementation that will guide decisions that affect long-term recovery and redevelopment of the community after a disaster.
The Hillsborough County PDRP was developed to enable the County to meet its long-term post-disaster goal of completing redevelopment efforts within a 3- to 5-year period after a disaster and restoring or enhancing the quality of life of local residents through the redevelopment process. The Plan includes a holistic pre- and post-disaster strategy that includes 58 prioritized issues and over 300 specific actions. The Plan was developed with the support and input of over 100 active stakeholders operating through 8 technical advisory committees. Additionally, the County plans to forward the adopted PDRP to the City of Plant City, the City of Tampa, and the City of Temple Terrace for their consideration.
CSA International, Inc.’s Planning Division has specialized in emergency management, vulnerability assessment, hazard mitigation, and disaster recovery planning for over 10 years.
